Joe, Came across a 3D printer site called "Matter Hackers". www.matterhackers.comFull of supplies and equipment for all one's 3d printing needs. Tell us,...what do you work on to create models, ...and prefer to acquire as usable stock filament? How much and how big is a roll of filament, let's say in a.. base grey color? xx, FM

FM,
I've used many different types of filaments over the years, but here are my "Go To" choices. Filement (Unless it's specialty stuff) comes on 1KG rolls.
DURAMIC 3D (https://duramic3d.com/)- Good filament, I use it for my regular colors. It produces consistent and reliable results. Their PLA+ is pretty tough stuff compared to regular PLA.
ERYONE (www.eryone.com) Another great filament. I use it for my "Silk" colors as they are very consistent with color and shine.
Polymaker (https://polymaker.com) I just started using this filament about 6 months ago. Both their regular colors and silk colors are very good. No clogging issues and the surface finish is great for the price point.
With running a 3D print farm it's important to get filament that produces the same results, print after print. You can drive yourself insane with bad filament, chasing down problems.

Say Joe,
You remarked from Etsy that the Missus was getting involved with a creation modeling program. Was it "Act CAD" or "MicroStation" ? Or something else?

Joe,
"Solidworks". Never heard of it. Why'd she choose to learn that one in particular?
Would you be able to forward me a screenshot of "basic interface screen"?
I visited the website. It's just the one thing no company ever thinks to show off.
Actually I went to YT and saw a vid there about the program's operations, but yet even then, ..the screenshot is blurred or crop edited towards seeing some details. How bizarre. But the vids were enlightening, educationally.

It is designed to have multiple pieces of a project fit together with proper tolerances, does part stress analysis, etc.. I haven't used the program myself, so no screenshot.. Sorry But there is a good video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=rWk6RGkL9Ds
